The most striking attribute of the Canton range, including the GLE, Chrono SL, Ergo and Karat and Vento models   is the enormous sound stage that they project and a sweet spot that fills the whole listening room.

Many other speakers require you to toe them in to achieve the ideal stereo image at a specific sweet spot. Canton has overcome this with the development of the “Transmission Front Plate”; a tweeter mounting that has been designed through extensive computer simulations and listening tests.  This gives in increase of up to 3db (i.e. twice as loud) at 30 degrees of axis, when compared to mounting the tweeter flat to the baffle – the effect will take your breath away.

The “Wave Surround” is a Canton patented design that allows each driver additional travel without distorting the shape of the cone.  This leads to a dramatic reduction in audible distortion, even at high sound levels, ensuring the loudest most dynamic passages of your favorite recordings will remain as clear as the subtle quite passages. The Wave Surround is used in every woofer from the Chrono SL range up to the flagship reference 1.2.
